Yalikavak Info

Yalikavak lies at the north-west corner of the Bodrum peninsula, 17 km, from Bodrum and 42km, from Airport. Previously Yalikavak was a fishing and sponge divers village. The town is becoming ever more popular as an alternative resort to Bodrum. Yalikavak still supports a thriving fishing industry, and the restaurants around the picturesque harbor and display a wide selection of fresh fish everyday.

There are many shops in th traffic free centre and every week on Thursday the town hosts one of the biggest fruit, vegetable and clothing markets on the Bodrum Peninsula.
The permenant inhabitants of Yalikavak number around 6800 people. It is renown for superb sunsets and its unspoilt shoreline which is ideal for sailing and all water sporty and attracts many foreign yatchs to the Marina that was completed in 2004.
